The San Jose line of the high speed railway would begin at San
Jose Diridon Station. The tracks would run north past the HP Pavilion,
and then descend into an open cut to pass under Coleman Avenue and
Taylor Street. The cut is covered as the line passes under the
undeveloped western edge of Guadalupe Gardens. It remains underground
to pass under Interstate 880, emerging from the cut and cover tunnel
just north of the freeway.
The railway ascends to an aerial structure, following
the edge of the Guadalupe River as it passes the San Jose Mineta
International Airport.
